Following the overwhelming response to Monstro's April 1st hostile takeover of Maestro Media, the board of investors has reached a unanimous agreement to allow Monstro to maintain full executive control through April 30, 2026.
The decision came after what the board described as "the most chaotic and somehow most effective brand announcement we have ever witnessed." Monstro described it as "Tuesday."
The April 1st takeover — which Maestro Media's legal team still maintains was "not a real acquisition" and "not legally binding in any jurisdiction" — generated what internal sources are calling an unprecedented response from the Isaac and Mewgenics communities. Fans flocked to see Monstro's vast improvements. The supply of promo cards is now noticeably smaller.
The board convened an emergency meeting to discuss next steps. Monstro attended uninvited, ate the snacks, and sat on the table until a vote was taken.
Monstro, when reached for comment, said: "Good."
- Promo cards claimed: Significant. Monstro is pleased. For now.
- Plushies stuffed: More than anyone expected. Guillotina alone required three shifts.
- Isaac cards divined: Enough to fill a Basement. Then another Basement. Wait, why do we have two basements?
- Alleys investigated: All of them.
- Deserts explored: Thoroughly.
- [REDACTED] conquered: Yes.
- Snack cabinet inventory: Gone. Day one. Four resupplies have been ordered.
- Emergency board meetings held: One. Monstro shattered the table beneath him. That was good mahogany!
- Investors who voted to keep Monstro: 7 of 7. Three have requested their names not appear in this report. We have forgotten who the other 4 are.
- Times Monstro said "Good" during the debrief: Confirmed at least three. Possibly more. He is hard to read.
- Edmund McMillen background vocal sessions logged: Ongoing. His availability has not been confirmed. Neither has his consent. Monstro cares not.
- Legal challenges to the acquisition: Several outstanding. Monstro ate the paperwork. Why did we fax it?!
We sat down with Monstro for a follow-up interview on his extended tenure.
Monstro did not arrive empty-handed. Alongside the takeover announcement, several new items were launched and are now available for pre-order. Consider this his gift to you. He would not call it that. But it is.
Still Free • April 2026
While Supplies Last
Maestro Media has confirmed it expects to reclaim the company on May 1st. Monstro has not confirmed he is aware of this timeline. He did eat the memo.
Free Monstro promo card offer valid April 1–30, 2026, or while supplies last. One per order. Qualifying items include any product from The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls or Mewgenics lines. No promo code required. The board of investors would like it noted that the emergency meeting vote was 7-0 and that Monstro was still sitting on the table when ballots were cast. Monstro says this did not influence anything. The investors have chosen to agree with him.
